Our story

2018

Reviewshake is born

Datashake founder, Philip, launched a reputation management platform for small businesses. The platform needed one critical ingredient: reliable online review data.

There was no solution on the market, so Philip built it himself.
2019

We launch our APIs

Aggregating online review data became our biggest cost center. We realized that if we needed this infrastructure, thousands of other companies probably did too. We started talking to them, and we discovered they'd been looking for exactly this. So we made our APIs available to others.
2020

Datashake gets wings

With the success of our APIs, we created a separate brand dedicated entirely to providing high-quality data infrastructure. Datashake was born.
2021

Our team is established

We focused on building our culture, bringing team members onboard full-time and establishing the values that would guide us as we scaled.
2022

Datashake becomes our identity

The Datashake umbrella brand took shape. We hosted our first full company retreat to strengthen our culture and align on our mission.

We take flight

Today, we're scaling thoughtfully. We've brought in senior leadership, expanded from reviews to social media data, and become the trusted data backbone for platforms whose customers depend on the reliability and completeness of our infrastructure.
